BALLFEST 2012 Needs You!

BALLFEST is an annual slo-pitch tournament held at the Crossroads Ball Park in July. Entering its 5th year, it has grown from 5 teams to 20 teams – from throughout the Valley to Milk River, Red Deer and Calgary.

BALLFEST began with a vision of becoming a major summer event that would generate a sense of community spirit and pride while providing economic benefits for local businesses, recreational programs and charities.

To date, the BALLFEST cabaret has donated $2400 towards improvements at the Crossroads Ballpark. With your help and support, we’d like to make that $10,000 over the next 3 years so this unique recreational facility can be enjoyed by all!

After seeing first-hand the community support for the BC Pond Hockey Tournament in February, we are reaching out to YOU and seeking the same for this locally organized and run summer tournament.

The foundation has been set but we need your help, support and community backing to take BALLFEST to the next level!

2nd Annual Ron Johnston Memorial Golf Tournament

Date is set for MONDAY SEPTEMBER 17th, 2012!!

This year the tournament will take place at the Bearspaw Country Club.

In memory of a great man who loved to golf, we will gather to play, eat and raise money for a couple great causes.

BC Pond Hockey

The first Annual BC Pond Hockey Tournament in Invermere was held last weekend February 3-5 on Lake Windermere. 26 Teams came from all over to compete in different divisions.

I put in a team called the Bad News Beers, and although we didn’t quite make it to the playoffs on Sunday, we had a blast!!

We set up ‘camp’ for the day Saturday and between playing 4 games, had lots of visitors around our campfire and even had a steak lunch out on the ‘beach’ (not your typical sandy beach, but point is there was no snow coverage).

Can’t wait for next year!!

Pretty crazy to think that I have not made a post since BALLFEST this past summer. A little fall hiadis puts us right in to the holiday season!!

Make sure you think ahead and plan to have a great time. The FUN VAN will be on the road for all your transportation needs, just make sure to give us a call in advance and book your spot!!!
